When purchasing a leather jacket do not buy a used one. Leather jackets wear in overtime, and eventually will wear to the point of being a perfect fit for you. If the jacket has been worn in for someone else it might not be very comfortable. If the jacket is comfortable, it might be damaged or not genuine leather.

Try on your leather jacket before purchasing. While buying a leather jacket simply for looks can be enticing, it can also lead to you purchasing a leather jacket that is uncomfortable or that you won’t wear often. If you are going to invest in a leather jacket, make sure that you have the opportunity to try it on.

Too Many Colors
Purchasing a jacket that has too many colors makes for a great statement piece, might not be a great investment if you are looking for something to wear every day. Leather jackets are used for outerwear, keep that in mind when purchasing your jacket.
