Bringing a leather jacket along for a trip is a great way to stay warm. Leather is a very breathable fabric, that helps retain heat but will not make you warmer when you move indoors. When packing light, bringing your leather jacket is great since it can be worn in a variety of styles. When packing your leather jacket, fold it properly to avoid ruining it. First, fold the shoulders together while extending the collar. Next, take both sleeves and make sure they are lined up together then lay the jacket flat, where the jacket and sleeves are lined up. Fold both arms over the jacket when lying flat, keeping it in a vertical position. Fold the jacket in half, keeping the collar and all elements in place. You can fold one more time to make it smaller. Once arriving at your destination, unpack it immediately and hang it in a closet with low humidity and little direct sunlight.

For your cloth items, you can make room for your leather by rolling the rest. This is a great way to save space and allow for more room in your suitcase. Simply take your shirts or pants, fold them in half, then roll them up. Set it in your suitcase and move on to the next. Save a space near the top of your suitcase for your leather, allowing you to pull it out immediately when you arrive.
