Denver fur was all the rage this holiday season! Not only was it the perfect holiday gift, but it can help keep you warm and stylish all season long. If you’ve recently purchased a fur coat, or have gotten one as a gift, it can often be overwhelming. If you’ve never owned one before, you might be wondering...how do I style this beautiful coat? Neutral Colors
Do you own, or are you looking at purchasing a neutral color jacket? Black fur is going to be far less noticeable, and dressing a black fur jacket with all black clothing will create a far less powerful statement. However, it’ll still look chic and will keep you warm and comfortable for the evening. Brown jackets are another great way to make a far less powerful statement, but we recommend avoiding white fur. White stands out naturally, and a white fur jacket will create a very expensive and chic look.

Keep it Basic
Avoid looking over the top by keeping it basic, and simple. What we mean by that is pairing your fur jacket with a pair of skinny jeans and very neutral colored heels, pumps, or wedges. A neutral colored blouse, ro even neutral colored t-shirts, will make the perfect pairing for this fall/winter outfit combination. Too cold for a t-shirt or blouse? Pair your leather jacket with a neutral sweater and you will be feeling comfortable all day long.

Pull it all together
Fur coats can look more expensive, and chic, when you have a lot of bold statement pieces at once. We recommend having one focal piece in your outfit, and ensuring everything else works together to compliment it. It’s also great if you compliment your fur coat based on the “era.” Have a vintage piece? Try pairing it with some lighter jeans and a string of pearls. This combination will create a chic statement without looking over the top.

Don’t get intimidated
Yes, fur coats can be intimidating. But don’t let it get the best of you! Wear your fur coat with confidence, you can and will rock that jacket. Just remember your overall goal - classy, chic, and simple!
